In Italian... Respiri d'Angeli.  As the name implies, these springy little sponge cakes will lift you off your feet.  Lemony yet not overpowering.
 
Inspired by the Amalfi Coast of Italy (where the famous globular lemons abound), these little beauties are prepared with an array of 4 different cream sensations.  Each generously-sized sponge cake is lightly doused with imported Limoncello that yields to a smooth, custard filling (a blend of homemade lemon curd and European pastry cream).  The exterior is covered with a lighter, thin layer of delicate, lemon-infused creamy glaze.  Adorned with whipped-cream accents and topped with a lemon accent, what an IMPRESSIVE display they make!  Freeze well.
One personal cake is approx. 4" wide x 4" tall.  Each cake comes on a beautiful, gold scalloped cardboard plate ready for presentation.
