Cookies for the Queen (Queen Margherita, that is)!  An Italian classic originating in Palermo, these cookies are a traditional favorite often enjoyed with a cup of coffee and perfect when sitting and chatting with a friend.  Crunchy and flakey and covered in toasted sesame seeds, they are not too sweet, yet simple and satisfying.  Enjoy them plain or with a hint of lemon zest, orange zest, or anise.
