Italian Fennel Taralli

Taralli are toroidal crunchy-chewy bread snacks that are famous all throughout Italy's southern region.  They are enjoyed as stuzzichini (appetizers) and often made around Easter time.  Made with extra virgin olive oil and a touch of white wine, Taralli can include fennel seeds (traditional flavor) or fresh rosemary.  And for those who like a little zing, red pepper flakes can be added to either of the above varieties.  Choose your flavor.
