This is the same Torta con Amaretto cake sold on this website but with 2 tiers for those extra special occasions when the cake needs to make a statement!   Each tier consists of a soft, springy, sponge cake doused with Di Amore Amaretto liqueur and filled with 3 layers of Italian pastry cream "Crema Pasticcera" (not whipped cream). Topped with a light (not-too-sweet) vanilla-almond whipped-cream frosting and adorned with toasted almonds.  Eye-catching and delicious!
